Formed in 2006, Matrix Steel Services is a boutique consulting and brokerage firm focusing on the steel, forging and foundry industries as well as all metals related manufacturing.

Mark Lyphout -Founder and President

Mark holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from The University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. He started his career working first as a metallurgist with Dana Corporation in Toledo in 1992 and later with Bosch Braking Systems in South Bend. After spending 10 years as a metallurgist, Mark held positions in Supplier Quality, Sales and Purchasing with companies such as Carl Daniel Peddinghaus (forgings), Daimler-Benz and ArvinMeritor. Mark is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and holds a 6-Sigma Black Belt. He has on two separate occasions taken foreign assignments residing for extended periods in both France and Germany.
